It’s amazing how the local media let politicians off the hook for the problems they helped create. For years, all we heard from former premier Greg Selinger was of his push for Bipole III and the Keeyask generating station. Not to forget the billions of dollars it was going to cost, during an especially prolonged period of slow out-of-province hydro sales. Billions more were added to the cost due to Selinger’s insistence that Bipole III had to run on the west side of Lake Winnipeg instead of the cheaper east side.

The local media have chosen to give Selinger a "pass," allowing him to hide in the weeds away from explaining to taxpayers why he has placed this province into financial crisis for generations to come.
